About this range

Good to know

In short: Our CBD Sleep Gummies pair 50 mg of THC-free CBD with 3 mg of melatonin in one gummy, taken 30 to 60 minutes before bed. Prefer drops? The CBD oil with melatonin gives about 3 mg of melatonin per dropper, with three CBD strengths. Both are THC-free.

Choosing CBD for sleep in Canada

Four of our products are made for the evening. Two are THC-free and pair CBD isolate with melatonin, the hormone your body releases as it gets dark. Two contain Delta-8 THC, for a mild buzz at the end of the day. If you are new to CBD, or you need a clear head in the morning, start with one of the melatonin products.

Sleep gummies or oil at bedtime?

Sleep gummies are the simple option: one piece, the same amount every night, nothing to measure. Most people start with half a gummy, which is 25 mg of CBD and 1.5 mg of melatonin, and keep to that for a few nights.

The oil suits people who like to adjust. All three strengths carry about the same 3 mg of melatonin per full dropper, so you can move the CBD up or down without changing the melatonin. Half a dropper of the 500 mg or 1000 mg bottle is a sensible first evening serving.

How much CBD and melatonin to take

With CBD, start low and change one thing at a time. Half a gummy or half a dropper is a good first serving; give it three nights before you step up. Our Dose Finder turns your weight and experience into a starting amount in milligrams and shows it as a fraction of a gummy or a number of drops.

Melatonin at 3 mg per serving sits in the range most sleep studies use, and well under the 10 mg a day Health Canada sets as the adult maximum. Melatonin products are not for children, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

When to take it before sleep

Take the oil under the tongue 30 to 60 minutes before bed and hold it for about a minute before swallowing; it usually starts within 15 to 45 minutes. Gummies go through the stomach, so take them about an hour before bed, ideally after a light snack. Keep the time the same from night to night, and leave a full night's sleep ahead of you. Do not drive after taking melatonin or Delta-8 products.

Melatonin, CBN or THC?

These are the three things most often sold for the evening, and they are not the same.

  • Melatonin is the hormone your body releases as it gets dark. In Canada it is sold as a natural health product, with 10 mg a day as the adult maximum. Our sleep gummy and sleep oil give about 3 mg per serving.
  • CBN is a cannabinoid that forms as THC ages. Health Canada’s 2026 guidance lists it, with Delta-8, as an intoxicating cannabinoid, and research on it in people is limited. We don't sell a CBN product; our sleep products use CBD isolate and melatonin.
  • THC, whether Delta-9 or Delta-8, is intoxicating. Some adults take a THC gummy in the evening, but it is not a sleep product, it can show on a drug test, and you should not drive afterwards.

CBD on its own is not a sedative. If sleep is the goal, the melatonin products are the ones made for it.

About the Delta-8 options

Delta-8 THC is psychoactive. Some adults prefer it for a relaxed evening, but it contains no melatonin and it is not for everyone: it can show on a drug test, gummies take 30 minutes to two hours to start, and you should not take more within two hours. If you are new to Delta-8, the oil lets you begin with a quarter dropper, about 8 mg, and our first-time Delta-8 guide explains how much to take. Read more on our Delta-8 THC page and in our Delta-8 guide.

Lab tested

Our products are tested by independent labs for cannabinoid content and THC, and the published certificates of analysis are on our lab results page, listed by product and strength, so you can check a report before you order. Reports for the sleep gummies and the melatonin oil are being added.

Other goals: CBD for stress and calm covers daytime use, and CBD for arthritis and joint pain compares the same products for joints.

Shipped across Canada

We are a Toronto-based Canadian company and ship only within Canada, by Canada Post with tracking. Orders are for adults of legal age in their province: 18 in Alberta, 21 in Quebec and 19 everywhere else. Still not sure which product fits? Help me choose asks four questions and suggests one product and a strength to start on.

Gummies or oil for sleep?

Gummies are a fixed dose and easy. Oil lets you adjust night by night. Both carry melatonin.

How long before bed should I take it?

30 to 60 minutes for the oil, about an hour for the gummies. Melatonin needs a little time to take effect.

Can I take melatonin every night?

Health Canada's melatonin limit for adults is 10 mg a day. One serving of either sleep product stays well under that.

Do the sleep products contain THC?

The Sleep Gummies and the melatonin oil are made with CBD isolate and contain no THC. The two Delta-8 products contain Delta-8 THC and are psychoactive.

What is the difference between melatonin and CBN?

Melatonin is a hormone sold in Canada as a natural health product, with a 10 mg daily limit for adults. CBN is a cannabinoid that Health Canada lists as intoxicating. Our sleep products use CBD isolate and melatonin; we don't sell a CBN product.

Will I feel groggy in the morning?

Some people do, especially at higher amounts. Start with half a serving, take it early enough to allow a full night's sleep, and see how you feel before you drive.

Can I take it with other medication?

Ask a pharmacist first. CBD and melatonin can interact with some prescription medicines, including sedatives and blood thinners.
